If you are a neurodivergent student or graduate, navigating the recruitment process may feel daunting. This session looks at the barriers you face, and provides solutions to overcome them. Our disability partner, EmployAbility, covers topics such as imposter syndrome, fear of discrimination, information about inclusive employers, your legal rights, and examples of adjustments to help you demonstrate your skills and competencies.

Session 2. Disability: Adjustments in recruitment and the workplace
This session is focused on empowering disabled and neurodivergent students to ask for the adjustments they need to ensure equity in recruitment and in the workplace. The session gives an overview of the Equality Act, the duty of the employer to provide the adjustments needed, and what constitutes a ‘reasonable’ adjustment.
