The Generating Genius & National Grid-Pathways to Progress Programme is open for applications. Please note the sign up deadline is Thursday 23rd October at 9am.
This talent development pathway is run by UK registered talent development and education charity, Generating Genius and National Grid.
What is it?
The aim of the pathway is to support students to get into top internships, 12 month placements and graduate jobs at National Grid, the energy sector and more broadly at other top companies.
The pathway offers students the opportunity to gain insight and experience in the energy sector and different business areas at National Grid. e.g. Finance department and engineering roles.
It also supports with graduate job application preparation and 12 month placement application preparation for roles at National Grid and other top companies.
The pathway provides students with the chance to apply for:
- An Insight week either in Spring and Summer
- An Application Preparation Workshop in October
- An interview for paid summer internships at National Grid if you are eligible for the roles on offer (these interviews will take place in March and April) These internships are for students on this pathway only.
Eligibility Criteria
In order to join the pathway you must meet the following criteria:
- Must be or have been (if you have graduated) a UK home student paying UK home fees. This programme does not support international students at the moment.
- Be under 21 years of age at the start of your degree programme (this programme is not open to mature students at this time).
- Attended a non-fee paying secondary school
- You must meet one of the following social mobility criteria: • Household income of £40,000 or below • You were on free school meals when at school • You are a Care Leaver
- There will be more detailed criteria for the different opportunities we offer – further below will be a chance for you to select which area of support you are interested in, with links to flyers with eligibility criteria on them – please read these carefully before applying.
